§ 2.19.020. Duties.

  • The Civil Rights Officer shall be responsible for the civil rights and equal employment opportunity matters affecting County operations, for administration of the County's Equal Opportunity Plan and the County's Title VI Plan, for the investigation and resolution of related complaints, by or against the County, its officers, employees, and agents, and for performing such other duties as may be assigned by the Board of Supervisors from time to time. The Civil Rights Officer shall also be responsible for administration and enforcement of the Americans with Disabilities Act and staffing the Equal Opportunity Advisory Commission and the Monterey County Commission on Disabilities. The Civil Rights Officer shall report directly to the Board of Supervisors, and shall make periodic reports to the Board as needed.
